Outplacement Services

Our outplacement programs meet the needs of employers and their impacted workers through professionally delivered, high quality services that keep pace with the demands of today's challenging job market.

What makes our programs unique?

1. We provide real value for employers. Our programs are very similar to those offered by for-profit companies. Yet our cost/candidate is about one-half to two-thirds less.
2. We offer customized and pre-packaged programs for companies large and small.
3. Our candidate support doesn't end when your contract ends - candidates can continue to use our center's services and support for as long as needed.

Our programs are delivered in dynamic group workshops or in one-on-one coaching sessions. We work closely with candidates from a wide variety of occupational backgrounds and experience levels, addressing the challenges of their job separation and assisting them with their development and implementation of an effective job search campaign.

The Career Place offers four outplacement programs:

Option 1: CUSTOMIZED VOUCHER PROGRAM

Our most popular option, our voucher program leaves the choice of (fee-based) services entirely up to the candidate. Ideal for those who have unique career transition or job search needs, or for those who prefer to make their own decisions regarding their job search. *Also includes a 1-hour 1:1 consultation/ orientation session for each candidate.

Option 2: PRE-PACKAGED PROGRAMS

Choose from 3 levels of pre-selected components based on typical job search needs. Ideal for those who benefit from convenience and structure in their job search. *Also includes a 1-hour 1:1 consultation/ orientation session for each candidate.

Level 1

• Resume Writing, Career Portfolio, Interviewing and Negotiating Workshops
• Job Search Counseling (1:1)

Level 2 (includes Level 1) PLUS

• 1:1 Resume and Cover Letter Critiques
• Additional Job Search Counseling (1:1)
• MS Office® Class

• Choice of one: Word, Excel, Access or PowerPoint
• Choice of Beginner/Intermediate/Advanced levels

Level 3 (includes Level 2) PLUS choice of:

• A Mock Interview Session or
• An additional MS Office® class or
• Our Certified Resume Writer creates your resume

Option 3: GROUP WORKSHOPS DELIVERED AT YOUR COMPANY (or at our facility)

Any of our Workshops and/or 1:1 Critique Sessions can be offered at your place of business (*advance notice required). The length of workshops and critique sessions ranges from 2-4 hours. Pricing is based on an hourly rate for the workshop and prep time.

Option 4 : COMPANY-CUSTOMIZED PROGRAM

Do you need something that's not already offered? We will work with you to develop a program that is totally customized to meet your special needs.
